Today from Charlie’s store I have this mint green fine nail art glitter. I used to be so scared to use loose glitter before but now I actually love it, its such an easy base for nail art. There is also 37 colours to choose from!
This is how the product comes, it is 75p per 5g bag and I only had to dip into twice to do one hand (one dip covered the full hand but wanted more coverage so I did two layers) so this would last what would feel like forever.
It comes in a resealable bag, so be careful removing the cardboard and the staple so that you don’t break the bag and it can be sealed up and stored without the glitter going everywhere.
I like to apply glitter using foil glue as a base, I usually don’t paint my nails a base colour as I do two layers of glitter but it is up to you what you would prefer to do.
Once the foil glue is dry, it turns clear this means it is now tacky and the glitter will only stick to the bits that have the glue on, so if you are careful glitter shouldn’t stick to your cuticles.
I dip the end of the cuticle pusher in the glitter bag and pour it onto a stamper head (I use a broken clear stamper so I can see where I am putting the glitter).
To wipe off any glitter that has gone onto the skin around my nails, I use a fluffy brush and it just wipes away.
I repeat the above if I don’t think the coverage is enough.
I apply a thin quick dry topcoat first to seal all the glitters in and then apply a thicker topcoat to make sure there is no texture to the nail.
This is what it looks like once I have finished. It is perfect for a base by itself or some nail art (I did do some nail art on top of this but it is part of a collage so you will have keep your eyes peeled for when I post it! I will also update this post once I have posted it)
Glitter can be used by anyone, I find the technique of using a stamper and foil glue means it is pretty fool proof! Don’t forget you can get 10% off using my discount code NBKT10 at www.charliesnailart.co.uk
