Freedom Eye Shadow Palette Review

Every time I say that I have this blog thing down, I don’t and never post anything – oops!

Today, I have something different, my first ever make up blog post. I did a poll on Instagram a few weeks ago to see what palette you wanted to see first but because I haven’t done either posts I will merge them together on this post.

I have the Today’s Tonight and Rock and Roll Queen eye shadow palette’s from Make Up Revolution which I bought on Tam Beauty. They were both half price, so I got them for £3.00 each which for 20 shadow’s is such a good deal. Each palette has a mix of both matte and shimmer shades.

This is the first palette, it has more neutral colours which are perfect for ‘day time’ looks and then it has some deeper colours which can be added to make it a ‘night time’ smokey eye. I absolutely love the gold/bronze tones.

The first picture is the top row and the second is the bottom row. Some of them aren’t the most pigmented but for £3.00 can you really complain?? The darker shades are pigmented just fine it is the lighter shades which need more build up but that isn’t always a bad thing.

This is the photo after I did the swatches, there was a little bit of fall out on some of the shades but not all but again for a drug store brand and at £3.00 it isn’t the end of the world. This palette is still on sale, you can get it here: Today’s Tonight.

The next palette is the Rock and Roll Queen palette which is a more ‘going out out’ palette rather then a day time palette (if you usually wear neutral make up, obviously you could wear this during the day if you wore brighter colours).

img_2991I love the colours in this palette they are beautiful. The purples are so perfect for Autumn as well as the burgundy ones.

This palette is a lot more pigmented then the Today’s Tonight, each swatch was just one swipe in the pan and then rubbed a few times on the inside of my arm. The only colour I wouldn’t use in either palette is the black but that’s because I don’t wear black eye shadow – I would much before dark brown or purple.

This is the picture after I did the swatches, again with this palette there is a bit of fall out. For reason the light blue had a lot more fall out compared the others and was slightly more chalky but for only one colour to be like that, you can’t complain.

I also got this palette for £3.00 and you can get it here at that price; Rock and Roll Queen

I don’t know when the price is going back up so may be worth getting if you need a stocking filler for a friend of female family members.

I did buy two of the Today’s Tonight palette for a family member for Christmas.

I do plan to do a blog post about the Soph X eye shadow palette – which is the collab between Soph Does Nails and Make Up Revolution. I will also have photos of my actual face of looks I have created using it.

Thank you for reading,

Katie, xox.

    • Thanks Chloe, my freedom ones are definitely like that but my Soph X one the lighter shades seem fine – the ones I have used anyways. I am sure when I do the full swatches I will really see what they are like. x

    • I haven’t actually used these on my face yet, I don’t wear make up often but the swatches seemed okay.

Sophs palette is the only MUR one I have but will definitely be buying some of the chocolate bar palettes because they look so good x
