Well… I haven’t updated my blog in 15 days! I did promise to try to post at least once a week but life has totally gotten in the way, I had 5 weeks off over the summer and going back to work has been difficult and weird to get used to again. I just haven’t had the energy to do nail art, edit a tutorial and upload a blog entry.
I haven’t really done that much nail art either and late last week I snapped a nail that I couldn’t save so now I am back to my tiny nails which at first I was a little devastated by but now I actually like them and I suppose my other nails were a bit too long.
I am going to document growth and maybe do a blog post on how to look after and grow your nails – so watch out for that in the future.
But for now I am going to do the ‘Confessions of a Nail Art Addict’ tag that I have seen going round.
1.What colour are you wearing right now?
Right now I am wearing 01 from the Nude Gel Collection from Born Pretty Store – to help my little nails stay strong (always remember to remove correctly not peel off like I used too otherwise you will ruin your nails!!)
2.What is your favourite nail brand?
I don’t really have a particular favourite – I love them all!
My favourite indie brand at the minute is Pretty Perfect Polish and my favourite drug store/high-end brand is Nails Inc.
3.What nail shape do you wear?
I used to always have round/squaval nails because I was to scared to file them any other way incase I messed them up but now I have almond nails which I love they look nice on both long and short nails.
4.What’s your go to red, pink and neutral nail polish?
None. It is very rare that I go for red or pink. I actually only have one red (from Leighton Denny) and may have a few pinks but they are never colours I usually choose.
5.Short or long nails?
Both? I loved my long nails but I actually really like my new short nails that I have filed them to a better shape.
6.What nail polish colours are on your nail wish list?
I really want to try some colours from Radioactive Unicorn, the Harry Potter collection from Sparklea Nail Polish and all of the Once Upon a Time collection from Dangle Foot Nail Polish (although she isn’t remaking some of these😭)
7.When do you paint your nails, morning, afternoon or evening?
It all depends on when I am busy and what day it is. I work Monday-Friday 8am-4pm so I can’t on a morning or an afternoon. But on a weekend if I am not busy I may do 3 nail art videos in one day. I do try not do it too late as the natural light goes pretty early now it Autumn.
8.What’s your top nail tip you swear by?
I don’t really have one, I don’t religiously apply oil (I wish I did), I don’t always wear base coat as my nail varnish just comes straight off.
I do a care routine at least once a week? I would recommend that, I remove everything from my nails, apply cuticle remover, file, cut any bits of skin, apply oil and creams and wait a few hours before I put anything else on them.
9.What nail polish do you regret buying?
Any pink or red polish – I have actually just given away 80+ bottles of nail varnish to my sister-in-law because I never wore it or I hated the colour. (I may have converted her into a nail varnish addict too)
10.Neon or pastel? Brights or darks?
I actually don’t own that many neon or pastel colours. I am neither a super lover or hater of them.
I would prefer darks over brights but even then its the same as the neon or pastel. I don’t super love or hate either of them. A lot of nail varnish is all just ‘normal’ brightness.
11. What’s your favourite colour right now, you wear all the time?
Purple, blue and greens are my favourites.
12. What is one brand you want to try but haven’t yet?
Dangle Foot Nail Polish and Radioactive Unicorn.
I do plan on regularly blogging and have some ideas for the next few posts. I have a duo from Princess Nail Lacquer that I want to blog about and I also want to do some blog posts about make up. Recently over the past 2-3 months I have grown my collection so I think I want to do a full make up haul blog post or spilt it into two or three as I have bought quite a lot.
If you have anything else you want to see or any ideas for me, let me know in the comments!
Thank you for reading,
